Visit of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Mr. Gerald Kusaya in Tabora Region today August 13, 2020. The Secretary General had the opportunity to visit the Tanzania Tobacco Research Institute TORITA. The institute outlined the key roles performed within the institution including research and training of tobacco growers. Similarly the challenges facing the institute that leads to failure to complete the intended strategic plans. The Permanent Secretary promised to work on the challenges facing the institute and also complimented the institution on the good work being done in developing tobacco crops as one of the commercial crops grown by Tanzanian farmers and assisting them in boosting income and boosting the country's economy.
