Tobacco Research Institute of Tanzania (TORITA) in 2021/2022 Tobacco cropping season produces quality K326 tobacco seeds. The production of quality and modern tobacco seeds is for a better harvest for tobacco farmers in Tanzania to meet the shortage of the seeds. The seeds produced by TORITA have the following characteristics.

Germination percentage: 98%, K326 tobacco seeds produced by TORITA have higher germination percentage to ensure maximum seedling growth for transplanting into the farm.

Purity: 100%, due to proper processing of the seeds from the farm to final users the seeds have no impurities. The seeds are 100% pure K326 seeds.

Potential yields: 1800 kg/ha – 2300 kg/ha, the seed produced has higher yield in all tobacco growing regions in Tanzania to ensure maximum profit for a tobacco farmer.

Drought tolerant: the seeds has been tested to be tolerant to drought while providing high yield in all tobacco growing regions.

Affordable price: seeds produced available for an affordable price of 1000/= Tanzania shillings per gram.
