On behalf of Management and Staff of Tobacco Research Institute of Tanzania (TORITA), I am inviting you to our recommendable new website which has been reviewed and developed by the expatriate from electronic Government Authority (e-GA) through a platform of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The primary objective of our website is to inform the public and tobacco stakeholders on TORITA research findings in the areas of sustainable agriculture, tobacco leaf curing energy, insect-pests management, use of appropriate fertilizers and recommendable rates, good tobacco leaf production to suit international marketing and food security to the tobacco growers.

It is our expectation to the tobacco stakeholders to use this website as a key and right source of information on good agriculture production (GAP) about tobacco production and food crops. Information on tobacco agriculture can be accessible through research publications, annual research reports, manuals and leaflets on good agriculture practices including procedures to be followed by the tobacco stakeholders intending to produce or supplying inputs based on tobacco specifications to meet tobacco production requirements.
